NEW YORK – James Harden will make his Brooklyn Nets debut on Saturday night against the Orlando Magic.

Harden, who was traded to Brooklyn as part of a four-team deal earlier this week, will leave for the Nets, coach Steve Nash said. This will be Harden’s first action on court with the team.

James was not allowed to train with the Nets on Friday because not all players involved in the trade had passed their physical exams.

“I think everyone is excited,” Nash said before the game. “We welcome one of the best players in the game to our squad, so the vibe is great. It’s a moving goal that we have to try to incorporate as we go here and learn on the fly, we adapt. and let’s try to freeze. “

Harden will not be subject to a minute restriction. Nash said the team will use a “see-as-you-go” approach to Harden’s playing time.

“[He is] “But we don’t want to run out of batteries on our new Christmas present so soon,” Nash said.

Harden is averaging 24.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game this season.
