It wasn’t easy or pretty, but the Nets got their revenge against the Pistons, who inflicted a humiliating loss to Brooklyn on February 9, beating Detroit, 100-95.

Joe Harris finished with 10 and DeAndre Jordan with 14 and nine rebounds. Nicolas Claxton played 18 minutes, had eight points, three rebounds, two blocks, two assists and one steal.
The Nets finished the victory with 48.1% of the field and 22.2% of the depth.
As for the Pistons, Jerami Grant had a 22-point performance followed by 2021 Nets second-round pick Shaddiq Bey, who finished with 13 points in 29 minutes. Detroit drops to 10-28 with the loss.
The Nets opened the contest by putting the pressure offensively. As Detroit attempted six lines – knocking down three of them – in the opening five minutes, Brooklyn focused their offensive attack on the inside.

The Nets opened the third with more energy and higher defensive intensity, leading to a 5-0 run by Joe Harris due to Harden’s shrewd trick as Detroit called a timeout to recover from 10. to at one point, but with revenge in mind, Brooklyn responded. Shamet also balanced his scoring game with other shots; a mid-range pull-up after breaking off the line. Or as you’ll see below, he created a dribble-handoff for himself by dribbling all the way to the basket before tossing it gently at Isaiah Stewart. Bonus points for freehand finishing!
An even keel scoring paddle only makes the sniper more lethal; his widespread approach through the ground on offense forces a defense to reflect, giving Shamet additional leeway to launch deep shots in search of heat.
It was another redemption for Shamet. In December, he shot 25.0 percent; in January, 32.7 percent; in February 40.5 percent and now 47.8 percent in March. And just for good measure, he beat Saddiq Bey, the first round the Nets gave up in their 3-team Draft Night contract. Bey finished with 13 points, but shot 2 of 9 in threes and 4 of 13 in total.
