Spyglass Media Group and Hulu have formalized the next casting for David Bruckner’s reboot of Hellraiser, as well as the fact that the film is heading towards that latter streamer.
Sens8 and The L word: generation Q actress Jamie Clayton was named the new Pinhead, a role originally played by Doug Bradley, and Hellraiser architect Clive Barker joins the production, which is already completed, as a producer.
Spyglass and Hulu have also confirmed what is available on genre sites, and that is Great Army actress Odessa A’zion will star in the film.

Marc Toberoff is also on board as a producer, who, along with Barker, joins David S. Goyer and Keith Levine of Phantom Four. Bruckner is directing a screenplay by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (Home of the night, super dark times) with a story of Goyer.

Combined with a fearless and committed cast, including the incredible Jamie Clayton, who fully embodies the role of Hell Priest, we aim to create a very special new chapter in the Hellraiser heritage.”
Goyer said: “From the moment I first read The infernal heart, Clive Barker has become one of my literary heroes. His work is transgressive and completely redefines the horror genre. Under the direction of David Bruckner, we go back to the source and take inspiration from this original news.
Barker said: “After seeing some of the designs of the new Hellraiser movie, they pay homage to what the first movie created, but then take it to places it has never been before. It’s a Hellraiser on a scale I just didn’t expect. David and his team are steeped in the mythology of the story, but what excites me is their desire to honor the original while revolutionizing it for a new generation.
Through four films released between 1987 and 1996, the Hellraiser the films grossed just under $ 50 million, but have long been cult titles for genre fans. Six more features were created for the domestic market, with the franchise extending to graphic novels and merchandise.
Oillataguerre and Chris Stone, vice president of production and development oversee the film on behalf of Spyglass.
