Since Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes ended their six-year relationship, fans wondered if it was possible for the actors to come together (and, of course, they cried a little too).
Although neither of the stars has tackled the subject, a recently informed source of Entertainment Tonight announced at the publication if fans had to keep hope or pack their bags and move on.
Will Foxx and Holmes get back together?
According to the insider, a reconciliation could take place.
The source said Foxx and Holmes "have never had a typical relationship" anyway, so you never really know what could happen to them.
"They have always been incredibly independent and their lives have not changed," the insider said. "They lived separately and in different cities and saw each other from time to time."
The source added that "despite their great chemistry, none of the actors wanted to uproot or totally merge their lives."
"They are just both caught up with their own families, their careers and the obligations that their relationship had to take in the back seat," continued the insider.
So, maybe when their lives are a little less busy, they'll find their way back.
But has Foxx already passed?
Foxx was recently spotted with two different women, fueling rumors that he was leaving Holmes completely. We Weekly reports that he is the first to go out with a "blonde mystery woman". On August 15, they reportedly visited a restaurant and lounge in Hollywood, California. At the time of writing, we still do not know who this woman is and what is her relationship with Foxx.
A few days later, he reportedly hit a nightclub with a brunette. They left by holding hands before leaving in Foxx's car. Several outlets later identified the woman as a singer, songwriter and model, Sela Vave. But, according to People, she is only an associate.
"It's a girl he helps, a young singer," a source told People magazine on Aug. 17.
A source told E! News that Foxx and Vave were celebrating the 19th anniversary of rapper Lil Pump, may be more of a networking opportunity than an appointment.
How they manage the split
From the outside, it seems that the actors are doing well. If neither of the stars has commented directly on the breakup, reports say they are extremely cautious about it.
On August 19, a source told Page Six that they had heard Holmes tell her friends in a restaurant that she was fine and that she did not care about Foxx's alleged dates. "What Jamie is doing is his business – we have not been together for months," said the actress, according to the insider.
The exact date of the dissolution is not clear. However, Holmes and Foxx made their first and last public appearance together in May at the Met Gala, where they were seen holding hands and dancing.
