JANESVILLE, Wisconsin – Bliss Communications sells its newspapers and radio stations, according to a report from the Janesville Gazette.
The two dailies of the company are The Gazette in Janesville and The EagleHerald in Marinette.
He also owns four weekly newspapers, including The Janesville Messenger, The Wisconsin / Illinois Stateline News, and The Walworth County Shopper Advertiser.
All newspapers, associated websites and the company's printing and production facilities in Janesville are sold to APG Media, Wisconsin. The sale should be finalized in mid-June.
The WCLO-AM 1230, FM 92.7 and WJVL-FM 99.9 radio stations in Janesville are sold by Southern Wisconsin Broadcasting, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bliss Communications, in Ben Thompson, which operates eight radio stations.
The Janesville Gazette reports that both organizations have announced their intention to retain all Bliss employees.
The terms of both agreements were not disclosed, according to the report.
