UCLA gymnast Margzetta Frazier had a big surprise ahead of a meeting against Utah this weekend.
The Bruins junior who turned heads and generated a buzz on social media for a floor routine to the music of Janet Jackson received a FaceTime call from the pop star that moved her to tears.
Jackson reached out to Frazier to congratulate her on the routine that incorporates Jackson’s dance moves in addition to his music. She posted a video of the call on Instagram.

“A friend sent me this video, and it was a video of you and the routine you did,” Jackson told Frazier. “When I looked at him, I started to cry. Jackson asks Frazier to teach him how to tumble
Frazier responded with her own tears while thanking Jackson for inspiring her. Jackson then told her that she had passed the choreography.

Jackson also asked Frazier for tumbling lessons before scheduling an in-person meeting. It was a touching moment between a 54-year-old artist and a 20-year-old college athlete moved by her music.
Jackson’s FaceTime call wasn’t the first time she praised Frazier. Earlier this month, she retweeted the video of Frazier’s routine that begins on Jackson’s 1986 hit “Nasty.” “#iLuvIT,” Jackson wrote.
Frazier later told “Access Hollywood” that she was expecting a call from someone on Jackson’s team, but wasn’t sure she would hear from Jackson directly.
