SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB / WSHM) – State game officials released January's revenue figures for MGM Springfield.
The Mass. Gaming Commission announced that the Springfield Resort had generated $ 19,698,053.88 in gross table and slot revenue last month.
That's down from $ 21,583,225.04 in December.

MGM Springfield President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Mathis said in a statement:
"As we enter our sixth month of business, we continue to gain valuable insights into the marketplace.Our business strategy continues to evolve as our relationships with existing customers grow and thousands new customers join our loyalty program, casino promotions and more restaurants and entertainment like brunch at Cal Mare and comedy ROAR in our historic armory, legalized sports betting for the first time in the Commonwealth ".
The Committee noted that USD 4,924,513.47 had been collected as state taxes on January revenue.
In total, since the opening of MGM Springfield, the state has collected $ 30,295,252.18 in taxes.
