Jared Leto may have won an Oscar in 2014, but the fate of his golden statuette remains a mystery.

Appearing on Tuesday on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” Leto revealed that he misplaced his prized possession when he moved to a new home in Los Angeles, California.

“I didn’t know that – I don’t think anyone wanted to tell me,” Leto, 49, revealed to Corden. “But I had moved to Los Angeles and when we moved it just magically disappeared.”

“It could be somewhere, but everyone’s been looking for it high and low,” the Thirty Seconds to Mars singer continued. “I hope he’s in good hands wherever he is. We haven’t seen him for some time.”

When Corden insisted on Leto whether someone really had the reward in their possession, Leto still hopefully existed.

“I think that’s a good possibility, it’s not something that someone accidentally throws in the trash,” Leto replied. “I hope someone takes care of it. I remember the night I got it, I passed it around to so many people ”

“It got beaten up and scratched, but people had fun taking pictures with it. It’s nice to share it, so I hope someone takes good care of it,” Leto concluded.
