Jared Padalecki laughs a little about his Gilmore Girls-ère auto on the anniversary of the beloved comedy-drama.
Reacting to a tweet about the official’s 21st birthday Gilmore account (a tweet that featured a vintage photo of Dean of Padalecki and Rory by Alexis Bledel), the Supernatural-turned-Walker star snapped, “Sorry about the teeth … and the forehead … (” five “-head?) I’m glad I grew up in those.

Sorry for the teeth …
And the forehead… (“five” head? ..?)
Happy to have grown up in those.– Jared Padalecki (@jarpad) October 5, 2021
Padalecki made his Gilmore debut in the 2000 pilot, and appeared in and out of the series for the first five seasons. He reprized his role as dean in the Netflix revival in 2016, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said a follow-up to A year in the life remains a possibility. “The good thing about families is that there is always story to tell, ”she shared last October. “[Gilmore] is not like a monster [franchise] or “The aliens have come to town!” Or ‘We finally found out who killed Laura Palmer and it’s over’ -[type situation]. There are never going to be the closure between Lorelai and Emily. Already. And the older Rory gets, the more she finds her own place and has her own life – and she is potentially going to have a baby – she is going to be in conflict with Lorelai. The conflict, the story and the journey are not a problem.” (for your information: We have classified Gilmorethe 20 best characters of all time – and there are surprises!)
So what is the problem? “There’s no [obstacle] behind, except for the lives and the people who make [other] things ”, the Wonderful Mrs. Maisel designer maintained at the time. “[A Year in the Life] It was one of those kismet moments where we would all kind of look at each other and say, “Well, let’s take a few months and hang out together and remember why we went crazy.” And it was a wonderful experience. I truly believe that if the time is right and girls are where they need to be in their lives [it could happen]. “
