Jarrell Miller, a heavyweight contender, is a favorite to face Tyson Fury in the fall.

Fury quickly mastered the German Tom Schwarz as he danced and made his way to a dominant TKO in the second round at the MGM Grand Las Vegas.

The former world champion, who was the favorite, controlled the fight with his jab in the first round before ending it with a devastating combination in the second.

The 30-year-old received several shots on Schwarz's nose to put him to death, then sent him to the ropes where the German finally fell to one knee.

Schwarz came back on his feet but was helpless to avoid a series of punches and his corner threw the sponge around the same time the referee stepped in to stop the fight.

Fury said he would still fight this year late September or early October, before a rematch against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in 2020.

Miller was at the edge of the ring for Fury's debut in Las Vegas.

He was originally scheduled to face Anthony Joshua on June 1, but he was removed from the fight after being positive for several banned performance-enhancing drugs in three separate screening tests. Miller was replaced by Andy Ruiz, who caused a big surprise when he stopped Joshua in seven rounds for WBO, IBF, IBO, WBA titles.

Miller has already spoken to Fury's co-promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank.

"Tyson looked like Tyson – he did his thing. This was the good opponent for the right opportunity. My suspension is up in September and I think October would be nicer and I would not mind. I'll be ready for that if I get the cry from Top Rank, I'll take it right away, "Miller told Declan Taylor.

"I've already had conversations with Bob Arum and we'll see. We never know. I'll come back to the drawing board, I will not be the first and I will not be the last, believe it. Yeah, I can fix my reputation – I'm Big Baby Miller and I'm breaking my mouth. "

Frank Warren, who is the main promoter of Fury, did not want to confirm nor deny that Miller was a favorite to face his man.

"I do not know exactly what Miller's position is for now, but it's something we'll be looking at. We will look at all the options. The whole team will sit down and we will make a decision. I'm sure an American opponent would be the best option, but wait to see. We're going to look at the rankings and that's something we're going to adjust this week, "said Warren.
