For now, St. Louis Cardinals front-runner Paul Goldschmidt has not beaten the best level of the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

And it was not much better for the right-handed slugger on Saturday night.

In the bottom of the third inning, Goldschmidt hit what would have been a two-point home win against starter Merrill Kelly.

But left-field player Jarrod Dyson had other ideas.

Dyson jumped to catch and steal the old Diamondback of a home run and his first shot of the series to keep the Cardinals in the lead at 2-1.

Goldschmidt finished the night with a score of 0-3, reaching the goal on a mistake by Jake Lamb at the bottom of the first goal of the Cardinals' 4-2 victory.

The former Diamondback has not yet had success in the series, while he rose to 0-4 with two withdrawals during the 4-2 win of the D-backs on Friday night.
