One of the funniest movies you’ll see this year is Happy day of the dead director Christopher Landonbody shift slasher Weird (read Meagan’s review), which is cut from the same horror comedy fabric as the Happy day of the dead movies only this time with gore rated “R”. And Weird, you’ll be happy to hear, gets * extremely * bloody when it wants to!
The movie releases * in theaters and drive-ins * only on Friday, November 13, but the good news is that Weird will arrive on VOD at home in a few weeks.
Dictated by a new deal Universal struck with theaters earlier this year, Weird is coming home in just 17 days, confirmed by Blumhouse’s Jason Blum on Twitter today.
We expect this to mean Weird will be at PVOD on November 30!

In Weird, “Millie Kessler, 17 (Kathryn newton, Blockers, HBO Big little lies) just trying to survive the bloodthirsty halls of Blissfield High and the cruelty of the popular mob.
