Believe it or not, Jason Momoa is indeed aging.

the Aquaman The star celebrated her 42nd birthday outside of social media on Sunday, but graced the occasion on her Instagram on Saturday.

“Happy last day of 41. BEST FRIEND @brianandrewmendoza made this possible. 42 here we go the craziest year yet. All ALOHA for you and yours J,” Momoa wrote alongside a photo smiling at him with Brian Andrew Mendoza, his production partner of over 10 years.

In the photo, the actor wore a black and brown Hawaiian-style shirt from his collection with Harley Davidson.

Lenny Kravitz, whose daughter Zoë Kravitz is Momoa’s stepdaughter through her marriage to “Fly Away” singer’s ex-wife Lisa Bonet, posted a simple tribute to the man he considers ” family ”on Instagram.

“Happy Birthday,” Kravitz, 57, captioned her post, with a naughty black-and-white image of the two posing together. “I’m proud to call you my brother. A love. A family.”

Momoa and Bonet, who married in 2017, shared two other children together: daughter Lola Iolani, 14, and son Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha, aka Wolf, 11.

Coincidentally, Momoa finished filming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom within three days of turning 42. He said the last day of filming kicked him “the right way” as he learned more about his aging body.

“Times are changing. I need to take a little more care of myself,” he captioned a sweaty selfie carousel. “Hydrate, sweat. In the meantime, Momoa is eagerly awaiting the October 22 release of Dune, a two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel. The actor plays Duncan Idaho, a master swordsman gifted at hand-to-hand combat, in the film directed by Denis Villeneuve.
