Jay-Z is closing 2020 – and celebrating his 51st birthday today (December 4) – with a new playlist he curated exclusively on his streaming service Tidal.
He captures this eventful year with 40 tracks that gave us reason to laugh, cry, rejoice and protest, including “Black Parade (Extended Version)” by his wife Beyoncé and the remix of “Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion and his Roc Nation artist Jay Electronica “Universal Soldier”, “Ghost of Soulja Slim” and “APIDTA”, to which Hov lends his voice.
“Ghost of Soulja Slim” was also on his Tidal playlist “Songs for Survival 2,” which was filled with new and old protest hymns that Jay-Z released this summer during the heat of the Black Lives Matter movement.
