But Jeffrey Dean Morgan recently revealed a role that almost made him stop acting altogether.
The Walking Dead favorite, 54, opened up about his career on the latest episode of the popular YouTube series Hot Ones.
While in the hot seat, host Sean Evans asked the Rampage actor to revisit his terrible experience playing a Xindi-Reptilian in a 2003 episode of Star Trek: Enterprise.

Morgan explained why the job – which required heavy prosthetics and makeup – was a learning experience, saying, “ It turns out I’m claustrophobic.
“I had a hard time doing the makeup process, I had straws in my nose,” he recalls.
It was an exhausting experience for the actor, even leading him to reconsider his career choices.
‘I’ve never been on a set where I came home at night and just thought, “What am I doing, I made the worst decision of my life, I never want to to be an actor again. “‘

“ I was sure it was just wrong and it almost made me quit … it was horrible, ” the star continued.
Morgan previously described his experience in more depth in a 2012 interview with Entertainment Weekly, where he noted that he took on the role of “ paying my bills. ”
The Seattle native said he took on every role he could play in his early years as an actor and admitted he was not prepared for what he signed up for.
“I knew I would play a guy saying stuff. Then I got a call saying I had to do a prosthetic placement. I remember they were dripping foam all over my face … I couldn’t have lunch. I was claustrophobic. I would go home in tears, ”he said.

Although the actor had a rough time during the early stages of his career, he went on to play roles in several high profile television and film projects.
From 2006 to 2009, he played Denny Duquette, who was Izzie Stevens’ fiancé for a short time, although he was later struck off the show.
Morgan also landed the role of Negan in the long-running horror drama The Walking Dead, where he has been a series regular since the show began its seventh season in 2016.
