In today’s media, media is peddling a story that Mounted Border Patrol agents used whips on Haitian migrants, Jen Psaki gets hammered for quoting Biden’s story with grief while arguing drone strike in Afghanistan, and the media worried about too many white Emmy winners.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki was taken aback Tuesday after CBS presenter Gayle King criticized the recent “very bad behavior” of the United States at the international level.
King noted on “CBS Mornings” that “there are a lot of arrivals” to the White House these days, given a recent wave of negative headlines at home and abroad for the Biden administration. After Psaki presented President Joe Biden’s speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday as forward-looking, King added that Biden could not “ignore what happened before”.

While King noted the overall withdrawal from Afghanistan, she did not specifically mention the recent failed US drone strike that killed 10 civilians and no ISIS-K terrorists. Biden has called for a full investigation into the tragic accident.
Psaki insisted on America’s “dysfunctional” relationship with China, as described by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, a term the spokeswoman also denied.

“We see the relationship through the prism of competition. China is a competitor, but it’s not a country we want to have a conflict with,” Psaki said.
CBS joined much of the rest of the media in expressing concern over new border photos of officers on horseback chasing Haitian migrants. Psaki said the footage was “horrific” and many outlets called border officers using “whips,” but the department told Fox News Digital they just used horse reins and didn’t were not allowed to use that kind of force.
