Jennifer Lawrence suffers injury on ‘Don’t Look Up’ set as stunt goes awry

Jennifer Lawrence reportedly suffered an injury while filming her next film, Netflix Do not seek.

The film, which is set in Massachusetts, will also star Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett and more.

Lawrence was on set and filming when a waterfall explosion didn’t go as planned and shattered shards of glass. The actor was hit in the face, near his eye, by a fragment while filming the night. According to reports, however, she is expected to be fine after the accident.

The star will play astronomer Kate Dibiasky in Do not seek, which attempts to warn the world that Earth is in danger of being hit and destroyed by an approaching asteroid.

The film is written and directed by The big courtAdam McKay and is currently due out in 2021.

Meanwhile, Lawrence is also set to star and produce the upcoming true crime film. Mob Girl, which is based on a Pulitzer Prize winner story. The film centers on Arlyne Brickman, the wife of a New York Mafia boss who becomes an informant for the FBI.

Lawrence’s most recent version was X-Men: Dark Phoenix, in which she reprized her role as Raven. The film was criticized, with NME writing in a two star review: “Dark phoenix is determined to be the strongest and most jarring of the knockouts.
