Jennifer Lopez accused of copying Beyoncé at American Music Awards

The singer performed a sexy Sunday night duet with male artist Maluma at the awards show and social media immediately began to point out the similarities to Beyoncé’s 2014 Grammys performance with her husband, rapper Jay- Z.

Lopez sported a black bodysuit with cutouts for “Pa ‘Ti” and “Lonely” much like Beyoncé when she sang “Drunk In Love” at the Grammys.

Both women also rocked wet short hairstyles and went sultry with their dance which included colorful lighting.

Bey also did the routine on her concert tour.

Twitter was everywhere, with everything from those saying Lopez copied Beyoncé to some suggesting it could have been a bit of a Queen Bey tribute.

CNN has reached out to representatives for the two women for comment.

A few who have defended Lopez’s performance have pointed out that Beyoncé has been called out repeatedly over the years for producing art that resembled the work of other people, most recently last year with some of the music videos for his album “The Lion King: The Gift.”
