Jennifer Lopez gave a scorching performance at the 2020 American Music Awards on Sunday night. However, it apparently didn’t go over well with Beyoncé fans, as many come to the pop music icon, claiming that Lopez copied some of her looks from the star.
Over the weekend, the 51-year-old actress and reality TV judge took to the stage with her frequent collaborator Maluma, where the two performed their hit songs “Pa ‘Ti” and “Lonely” – records which appear on the soundtrack of their upcoming film “Marry Me”.
For the performance, Lopez donned a revealing jumpsuit and styled her short dirty blonde hair into a wet look.
The luscious masquerade also saw Lopez dancing around a chair as blue, black and red pyrotechnics beamed across the stage – not quite suited to the members of the “Beyhive” who called her out for allegedly tightening up. the style Beyoncé flaunted during her 2014 Grammy performance where she performed “Drunk in Love”.

Meanwhile, a source closely associated with Lopez has objected to vague claims on Twitter calling Lopez a copier.
“It’s certainly not a comparison just because one, this whole performance was modeled on her just released ‘Lonely’ music video, the clip for,” the insider explained. “’Pa’ Ti ‘and’ Lonely ‘, which is in two parts, have been recently released and if you look at the second half, it’s Jennifer’ Lonely ‘performance adapted for the stage.
A Twitter user wrote in real time, “Now why did J Lo steal all the Beyoncé stuff like that lmao.” Another individual echoed the sentiment, add, “Does anyone notice that J.Lo is scamming Beyonce over her performance at Amas?”

“So I’m not the only one saying to myself ‘But wait …’ I love J Lo and she totally gave us #Beyonce at the 2014 Grammys,” another commentator wrote.
One fan even joked that “JLo and Maluma killed him at #AMA”, and affixed images of Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z performing their original number in 2014.
Another spectator mad, that JLo “copied” Beyoncé’s performance, “… and no one can tell me otherwise,” the person said. “She did the hairstyle, the poses, the outfit, the attitude … Damn, she even did that pre-recorded live too.”
“I’m sorry but Queen B has to sue,” the social media user added.
