The inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris is less than 24 hours away and Jennifer Lopez is traveling to Washington DC for the momentous occasion.
The “On the Floor” singer posted a photo before on the catwalk as she headed to the nation’s capital ahead of tomorrow’s event where she will perform. Staying sleek as always, Lopez went for a twist on the monochrome trend courtesy of Alberta Ferretti.
The monochrome style has become one of the biggest trends this season, favored by Kourtney Kardashian, Emma Roberts, Rihanna and more for its streamlined appeal. Lopez herself has been a longtime fan of the combination outfit, wearing everything from coordinating blouses and pants to matching tracksuits and sneakers.
Lopez’s “DC Bound” on trend included a soft sweater paired with a herringbone trench coat and wide leg pants that camouflaged directly into her baggy gray boots. The textured boots featured a chic square-toed finish and a high heel, all clothing and accessories from the Alberta Ferretti Fall / Winter 2020 collection.
The dedication ceremony takes place at noon ET tomorrow, January 20, with heightened security measures in place due to the increased threat of armed protests and riots across the country. While the procedure is also different due to health and safety precautions, there is still a fanfare to be expected. Lady Gaga is expected to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” alongside Garth Brooks, Bon Jovi John Legend and other big names who are expected to perform in addition to Jennifer Lopez on opening day.
“Celebrating America” will air live on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and MSNBC. It will also be streamed live on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch. Coverage of the inauguration will begin at 9 a.m. ET and will air on all major networks, including ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN, PBS, Telemundo, Univision and MSNBC. Viewers can also attend the ceremony via the official White House website, the YouTube live stream of Biden’s inaugural committee, and on Facebook, Twitter as well as Amazon Prime Video.
