She was hoping to inspire copier videos with a Twitter challenge, but it didn’t go as planned.
Jennifer Lopez celebrated the 20th anniversary of her album “J.Lo” in style this weekend, recreating the now infamous music video for “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” two decades later.
“Happy 20th anniversary to my second J.Lo album !!!! I had a little fun on a recent shoot,” she captioned a video on social media of her walking the beach for listen to the song, undressing in the sand.

Among the hashtags she used was #LoveDontCostAThingChallenge, which she also shared on Twitter. “The #LoveDontCostAThingChallenge STARTS NOW !!!!” she tweeted excitedly. “I can’t wait to see your renderings.”
She hasn’t had too many playtime, however – and the responses she made get were absolutely hilarious.
“It’s not a big challenge,” joked one follower who retweeted the video – an article that racked up 82,000 likes. “You want us all rushing to the beach in a queso pan for our friends to film us throwing some good jewelry? I’m so confused,” read another response enjoyed over 22K times.
“Jlo, are we supposed to throw our valuables on the beach?” another fan joked. “Is the challenge to find it after casting it because we can’t afford to replace it?!? What are the instructions?!?! ?????”
“Girl it’s too cold for that,” posted another follower – while one follower added: “We’re in a panini, we still haven’t had our second stimulation and you want us to go out and throw our shit in the sand? !? “
Searching for the hashtag itself on Twitter surfaced a ton of tweets simply commenting on the lack of recess … or people hoping for renditions of Nick Cannon’s dance moves in the movie “Love Don’t Cost a Thing ” in place.
