Ezekiel Elliott survived the 26th day and it seems that the dispute has reached a critical point.

The complete quote puts things in a different perspective. Yes, Jones joked with his initial comment and explains why he wishes Elliott back. There does not seem to be any disrespect and Jones reiterates that he wants Pollard to compliment and not replace Elliott.
It's extremely strange to see how we came to this place of "disrespect," especially considering Jones has always defended Elliott. In Elliott's domestic violence case, Jones repeatedly supported his player and claimed that the allegation was "not even a problem".
Jones continued to support Elliott on the spurious St. Patrick's Day, and after the incident at a Las Vegas music festival, continued to support the running back.
In May, Jones spoke to the Dallas Morning News about Elliott, "I think Zeke always had a wonderful heart," adding, "Zeke is a source of inspiration not only for what he does in the field, but also for what he does. done in the locker room. It's a brilliant soul, I call it.
