The speech gives Jerry O’Connell a permanent seat at the table.

Already a recurring guest on the CBS daytime show, O’Connell is officially upgraded to a permanent co-host, he announced on Wednesday’s show.

“It’s fun, and it works, and we’re going to have a lot of fun,” O’Connell told viewers upon his arrival. Watch the big moment below:

O’Connell, who is now the show’s first full-time male co-host, joins current panelists Amanda Kloots, Elaine Welteroth and Sheryl Underwood. Carrie Ann Inaba has been on leave since April.

In addition to hosting major talk shows like The Wendy Williams Show and Living with Kelly and Ryan, O’Connell has a long TV acting resume. Currently speaking Commander Jack Ransom on Star Trek: Lower Bridges, O’Connell has previously held roles on shows like Billion and Jordan crossing.

The speech has seen its fair share of top-tier starts since its premiere in 2010. Previous co-hosts include Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, Aisha Tyler, Eve and Marie Osmond. And some of those departures came with their fair share of behind-the-scenes (and sometimes on-screen) drama. Osbourne, for example, was fired earlier this year following a network investigation into her controversial on-air racism debate with Underwood.
