"Nick was a great guy," Remy told NESN's Adam Pellerin on Thursday night. "He was a good friend of NESN. We have often seen him in the pre-match and during games. Just an incredibly shocking story. I am stunned by that. "

The first appearance of Cafardo on NESN took place in 1984 as a writer of The Patriot Ledger in Quincy, Massachusetts. He moved to the Boston Globe in 1989, where he covered the Red Sox and New England Patriots.
