Jerry Seinfeld shared a touching tribute to Larry King that touched on their infamously awkward interview moment of 2007.
King died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday morning, Ora Media, the studio and network he co-founded, said in a statement. No cause of death was given, but he had been hospitalized for a COVID-19 infection, according to several media.
After her death, people browsed through old interview clips from the 87-year-old career. Among the clips that grabbed attention, there was one that went viral after Seinfeld seemed frustrated over whether his hit 1990s sitcom had been canceled.

Seinfeld joined the myriad of celebrities paying homage to the late interview icon on Twitter over the weekend he approached the clip to note that everything was in jest.
“I’ve always loved Larry King and I’ll miss him. The ‘canceled’ track was just that I’m having fun with his little mistake. Nothing more. Or less. #RipLarry,” he wrote.
At the time, Seinfeld was on CNN’s “Larry King Live” promoting “Bee Movie” when King asked if the comedian had decided to end “Seinfeld” or if NBC was canceling the show.
“You gave up, right?” King asked. “You canceled them, they didn’t cancel you.”

“Don’t you know about this?” Seinfeld responded, sounding frustrated. “Do you think I’ve been canceled?” Do you feel like I’ve been canceled? I thought it was pretty well documented. Is it still CNN?

Seinfeld continued, “I got off the air, I was the number one show on TV, Larry. Do you know who I am?”
“A Jew. Brooklyn,” King joked back.

King then went to toss the interview into an advertisement, looking frustrated when Seinfeld continued to hit him.
“Can we get a CV here so Larry can look it up?” he said.

As Yahoo Entertainment notes, Jerry isn’t the only “Seinfeld” star to entertain the late interviewer. Some people on Twitter shared a clip of King interviewing Julia Louis-Dreyfus where he asked her to have a ‘man’s name’, apparently mistaking the hyphen for a middle name.
