CNN's decision to use a televised lottery to determine its 2020 presidential run-offs is a classification ploy, according to Jesse Watters.
In addition, prime time host Don Lemon is not up to the task of an objective moderator, Watters said Tuesday in "The Five".
"As for the lottery, it's a gadget," he said. "They lost about 20% of their audience in prime time and our prime time audience is more than triple that."
Watters also said that he believed that the second round of Democratic debates was too important to be decided by draw, on television.
CNN DOES NOT ENCOURAGE VOTERS BY NAMING MODERATOR OF DEBATE DEBATE DON LEMON, CRITIC SAYS
"It is too much of a debate for the Democrats and for the American people to leave it to chance," he said.
In addition, Watters claimed that Lemon was too biased to have the tacit credibility of a moderator of debate.
"He looks like a good guy," said Watters about this 53-year-old Louisiana native.
"But he is an opinion leader, it's not a right shooter."

Lemon will join Dana Bash and Jake Tapper for the two-night event on July 30 and 31 from Detroit. Moderators of debate are historically honest journalists, as opposed to expert partisans.
The host of "Watters' World" said that he felt Lemon was reminiscent of MSNBC's Rachel Maddow – who co-hosted the latest round of debates – adding that Anderson Cooper would agree better to Bash and Tapper.
On July 18, CNN will unveil its alignments for the debates scheduled later this month.
