Jessica Biel visited the California State Capitol on Tuesday to push for what some see as an "anti-vaccination" stance against a bill introduced in the state Senate, reports said.

The actress joined environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to speak with lawmakers about her opposition to the bill, which calls for increased scrutiny of medical exemptions for child immunization.

"Thank you to thank the brave [Jessica Biel] for a busy and productive day at the California State House, "said Kennedy.

Kennedy, founder of Children's Health Defense, strongly opposes the bill known as SB 276, introduced by Dr. Richard Pan, Senator and Pediatrician.

The current law requires parents to file a written statement provided by a doctor to exempt their child from vaccination. The bill would require a form signed by an official from the State Department of Public Health.

The debate over whether or not vaccinations are safe for children is both complex and controversial, especially since a recent measles outbreak in the United States appears to have taken a public stance at home. this topic has caused a lot of stir on social media.

"Jessica Biel is known for her infant mortality related to measles and flu," tweeted Dr. Jennifer Gunter, a Californian gynecologist.

"Apparently, she and her husband, Justin Timberlake, will report measles," read another tweet author and journalist Jennifer Wright.
