Jessie James Decker broke down in tears over the hurtful comments she received about her weight gain.
The “Lights Down Low” singer, 33, said in a video on her Instagram Story Tuesday that someone sent her a Reddit thread that “rips” her “every day” because of her weight.
“It’s pretty horrible, and I can’t believe it’s happening in the world again – that people are doing this,” she said. “Yes, I gained 100% weight. I was obsessed with it. I have tried to keep some weight off, and more recently over the past year or so, I have decided to let myself go.
“I exercise and eat whatever I want, and I’m 100% 10 pounds heavier than before.”
Decker said she weighed 115 pounds but is now satisfied with her body.
The country music star went on to call the Reddit page “so disgusting” to her.
“How can you wake up and live with yourself? ” she asked. “I am shaking because I cannot believe what I am reading.”
With tears in her eyes, Decker told her followers the blunt comments made her question herself and her self-worth.
“It’s hurtful, and I’m such a strong and confident person, and always have been, but it just makes me a little sick to my heart that people tear every little thing about me,” Decker said, sobbing completely. . “It’s me and it’s bullying and it’s not OK. I hope my daughter doesn’t grow up in a world where people do this to her because it’s wrong.
“I think we all have to do better.
Decker concluded her video by reminding viewers that she is a human being who “is not perfect.”
“Just know you’re not alone,” she said. “I’m going to wipe away my tears and pull myself together because I’m a mom.”
Decker shares daughter Vivianne, 7, and sons Eric Jr., 5, and Forrest, 3, with her husband, former NFL star Eric Decker.
The singer’s candid “Flip My Hair” video came after Food Network star Valerie Bertinelli also broke down over comments online about her weight.
