JetBlue plane to Tampa evacuated after flight attendants receive photo of suicide vest

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – According to NBC 4 New York, a JetBlue plane departing from Newark Airport on Saturday morning to Tampa was evacuated after the flight attendants received a photo of a plane. lifejacket or someone wearing it.

The photo was dropped by two flight attendants who then informed the captain, NBC 4 New York said in an article. Airdrop is a way to instantly share photos, videos, documents and more with other nearby Apple devices.

The 573 flight from JetBlue was scheduled to take off at 7:20, but it returned to the boarding gate and the 150 passengers were asked to get off the plane once the picture was received.

Nikki Morris, one of the passengers on board, made a live video on Facebook, capturing the experience. Once she left the plane, she said that she had noticed that all the luggage was out of the plane and on the ground.

8 On Your Side also contacted the aunt of a passenger of flight 573 aged 16. Sharon Rosa testified that her niece told her that she boarded the plane at 5:45 am but was asked to disembark 20 minutes later. Rosa told 8 On Your Side that her niece and the other passengers had not received any information, with the exception of the aircraft that had technical difficulties.

The flight ended up leaving at 11:27, with a little over 5 hours late, and arrived at Tampa International Airport around 14:01.
