Jets & Gase in contact with Le'Veon Bell after Maccagnan's shot

Now that the partnership between Adam Gase and Mike Maccagnan is over, the world of Jets is focusing more and more on another relationship: Gase and halfback Le'Veon Bell.

Wednesday's news that the Jets may not have anticipated is due to rumors that coach Gase did not fully sign the agreement with Bell signing a 52-year contract worth $ 52.5 million in March.

According to one source, Gase and Bell have been in constant contact since the beginning of the off-season program last month, while Bell was not at Florham Park for most of the training sessions. The two men spoke after the Maccagnan shot on Wednesday and Thursday, and the conversations were positive, according to the source.

Bell went on Twitter on Wednesday to say that he was not worried about this information.

"There has been a lot of false reports and speculation about me about things I've said and done, so I'm used to that," tweeted Bell. "I can not come to conclusions when I hear or see a story that could affect me.

"Even if the information is true, it will not prevent me from doing what I came here to do … everyone has a job to do, and I'm going to do mine, that people" m & # "Love or not, I'm here to win football games."

Gase may find an easy way out by pointing to the media, as Bell mentioned. On Wednesday, including in The Post, Gase was opposed to paying Bell just as much as the Jets. Other reports have gone one step further than Gase did not want Bell at all.

The Jets coach can easily deny reports to Bell and blame the media, which has problems with Bell.

But Gase must then please Bell at the beginning of the season, otherwise the problem may arise again. It will be incumbent upon Gase to keep Bell's workload at a level where the content is in the background.

If Bell succeeds with the Jets under Gase and the team wins, nothing of that speech in May will matter, including Bell's absence from voluntary training. Gase would certainly like all his players to participate in the off-season program, but he also understands that players are preparing in different ways. Bell shared his plan with Gase and updated him on his training updates in Florida. Just check out Bell's Instagram page to see her workout videos.

The Jets have their minicamp mandatory from June 4th to 6th and Bell should be there.

WR Robby Anderson signed his contract as a restricted independent agent on Wednesday. It is worth $ 3.095 million.
