The Jets revealed a change in their office Friday afternoon announcing that Neil Glat had left his role as Team Chair while assuming a new role.

Glat, who was president of the organization since April 2012, becomes the senior advisor to the Jets after more than seven years of overseeing offsite activities.

The Jets plan to announce their "next organizational steps" in the coming days.

"I want to thank the Johnson family for giving me an incredible opportunity to be part of their really special organization," Glat said in a statement. "Woody and Christopher are excellent leaders and have been outstanding mentors to me, and I am extremely grateful to them, and to my sincere gratitude to all the great people who are part of the Jets family. There's never a good one – it's a good time for me to take on new challenges. "

In his role as President, Glat has piloted some of the Jets' greatest achievements, including the design and unveiling of a new uniform.

He also launched the award-winning content platform at the Emmy Jets 360, the Jets Rewards program and digital ticketing solutions, as well as many innovative partnerships.

"Neil has led the implementation of many new initiatives and fan-friendly offerings during his time with us," said Jets President and CEO. Christopher Johnson said in a statement. "He has also worked tirelessly on behalf of the organization and for the fans, and I greatly appreciate him and thank him for his important contribution and his omnipresent professionalism, which will be missed."
