JGOD reveals his best advice to boost your Warzone K / D and win more shootouts

Warzone YouTuber JGOD has broken down the simple trick you can use to win more shootouts and “instantly increase your K / D”.

“Centering” is a term you may have heard your favorite Call of Duty and Warzone pros use, as it’s one of the most important aspects of any FPS game. Make sure your objective is “centered” and that already where you expect enemies to be, you will be able to hang on to it much faster, giving you the advantage in shootouts.

Using examples from Warzone’s top pro players, YouTuber JGOD explained how important centering is in improving your K / D ratio and winning more shootouts.

What is centering in Warzone?

Centering in Warzone

As JGOD explains, centering is all about keeping your crosshair in the center of your screen so you’re always ready for a player to appear. This means aiming at chest height anytime you expect enemies to be, whether in doors, windows, or in the open. JGOD explained that sometimes that little adjustment you have to make if you’re off center “is enough to make you lose the shootout.”

Using his own example, when JGOD is aiming for the ground, he has to adapt massively to aim at an enemy and spoil his shots. He then corrects himself, centers his objective and easily wins the fight.

He explains that controller players tend to be the most guilty of aiming for the ground, as his own centering is much better when playing keyboard and mouse. This could be a battle royale issue, as you are constantly on the hunt for loot.

Examples of JGOD Warzone centering

JGOD then uses Warzone’s top pro Tommey as an example, explaining how good centering can even correct mistakes. In the middle of a fight, Tommey expected a player to walk through a door and be ready for the player. Instead, the player dropped one of the firefighter’s poles and, since Tommey was centered, he easily adjusted his aim slightly to the right to win the shootout.

Another perfect example of centering, JGOD analyzes the gameplay of DougIsRaw. Before Doug climbed down a ladder on the stairs of one of the buildings, he took a second to center his lens at chest height. This allowed him to fall already with perfect aim and easily killed.

While centering is just instinct for the best players in Warzone, JGOD said you will have to “work at it consciously day in and day out”. Just keep in mind while playing, and you will find that your gameplay will improve tremendously.
