On Wednesday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Dr. Biden opened up about her own divorce and offered words of encouragement to the singer, who was open about the difficulties of the divorce.

“That’s what I would tell you if I were your mother.” My mom would always say, “Things will get better tomorrow and if you can take it one day at a time… things will get better,” Biden, 69, mentioned. “I look back now and think, ‘You know, if I hadn’t been divorced, I would never have met Joe.'”

Additionally, Jill said that she “wouldn’t have the beautiful family that I have now” if she hadn’t separated from her first husband. Dr Biden shares daughter Ashley, 39, with the President, who had three children from a previous marriage.
