WASHINGTON (AP) – Journalists traveling with First Lady Jill Biden had an April Fool’s Day surprise on their flight back from California to Washington on Thursday.

During meal service, a flight attendant wearing a “Jasmine” badge distributed Dove ice cream bars. She wore a black mask and a black pantsuit and had short black hair.

A few minutes later, “Jasmine” reappeared without the wig – revealing herself to be Jill Biden, laughing and proclaiming “April Fools!”

The first lady’s assistants told reporters they were just as surprised to discover “Jasmine’s” true identity.

In her 2019 memoir, “Where the Light Inters,” Biden admitted that she enjoys playing pranks. When her husband was vice president in the Obama administration, she once hid in a hanging bin on Air Force Two, scaring the first person unlucky enough to try to pack there.

“I’ve always believed in stealing moments of joy when possible,” she wrote.
