Jimmy Butler wants to be a Laker

For the first time since the calendar shifted in 2019, there is no terrible news reporting the mess of a franchise known as the Los Angeles Lakers. According to Los Angeles Times"Arash Markazi, Jimmy Butler wants to be a Laker and would not want lose a minute to think about it if they offered him a max contract this summer.

"When @ColinCowherd asked me this morning on @TheHerd which star player the Lakers could sign realistically, I did not waste time saying Jimmy Butler. He loves L., LeBron James was in contact with him and he would join the Lakers in a moment if they offered him a maximum contract. "

I'm not sure what Butler thinks here. There is no worse team, adjustment or situation for him or any other player at the moment than the Lakers. If Butler thought that Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid were difficult to play, wait until he begins to be sub-tweeted by LeBron James.

Even with Butler, the Lakers would not be a very good team and a bottom seed for the playoffs at best. Butler's chances of winning his first championship would have a huge impact by leaving the 76ers to the team. Outside the weather, it would be a very bad decision.

For the Lakers, this is good news by default. Instead of not having options, they can at least add an All-Star. But make no mistake, when James signed last summer, they had much more hope than associating with Jimmy Butler. Butler is a good player, not close to a superstar.
