Dame Joan Collins may be well into her ninth decade, but she says she is relieved to have married a much younger man admitting that a partner her age would be a disaster for her.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, the stage and movie star said the age gaps in marriages – 32 years ago between her and her husband Percy Gibson – should be celebrated.
She told the newspaper: “Thank goodness I married someone 30 years younger than me. I couldn’t bear to be married to someone my age.
The former Dynasty star also said she found it annoying when people asked her when she was going to retire, calling the question “fucking rude”.
