A24 and the filmmaker worked together on the feature films “Hereditary” and “Midsommar”.
Ari Aster set his latest project at A24, starring Joaquin Phoenix.
Aster wrote and will direct Disappointment Blvd., who is described as an “intimate, decades-long portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time”. All other plot details are kept under wraps.
Aster will produce with Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner, with A24, who worked with Aster on his feature film Hereditary and Midsummer.
Phoenix recently won an Oscar for his role in Joker and will next be seen in Mike Mills’ feature film A24 C’mon C’mon. He’s also set to take over the squad with Ridley Scott in Musette, a biopic of Napoleon Bonaparte at Apple.
