Former Vice President Joe Biden travels to Boston on Wednesday for an event with Mayor Marty Walsh to discuss climate change.

Biden and Walsh will discuss Boston's efforts at Martin's Park, a park and playground soon to open next to the Boston Children's Museum, which will commemorate Martin Richard, the youngest victim of the Boston Marathon bombings.

City officials said the park was built to be "climate-ready." The Biden demonstration should start at 12:30.

Biden, who heads a number of polls during the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, just returned to New Hampshire on Tuesday to unveil a climate change plan aimed at getting the United States to clean energy. and zero net issuance by 2050. He also suppressed critics of his rivals Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders that he was too comfortable with Republicans.

Biden is expected to attend a fundraiser in the Boston area on Wednesday night, according to his public schedule.
