Joe Giudice’s dinner with ex-wife Teresa Giudice and new boyfriend Luis “Louie” Ruelas didn’t go as well as it appeared in their social media photoshoot.
“You can all imagine how I felt when they walked into the room,” Joe, 48, told Us Weekly on Thursday. “It was embarrassing to see my ex after living with someone else.”
A video posted online showed the friendly friends having dinner at Graycliff restaurant in the Bahamas earlier this week with their four daughters – Gia, 20, Gabriella, 16, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 11 – as well as Ruelas, 46, who was sitting next to Teresa.
“Teresa and I decided to be honest and be friends with each other for the girls,” Joe told the store. “Parenting should always be about giving your kids the best results for every situation. I believe we all deserve to be happy and our children will thank us for it. “
He added: “I am really happy for Teresa and Luis and I wish them the best!”
The businessman, who was deported to Italy in 2019 after serving a prison sentence for fraud, has also started a new relationship.
In December, Joe posted the first photo with his girlfriend, lawyer Daniela Fittipaldi, on Instagram. Teresa, 48, appeared to support her ex-husband’s burgeoning romance, commenting on the post with red heart emojis.
We exclusively reported in November that the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star was dating Ruelas, a businessman from New Jersey.
She and Joe finalized their divorce in September after 21 years of marriage.
