Ben simmons has NO issue with his sweater – it’s a TRUST issue – that’s what the NBA and BIG 3 sniper says Joe johnson, who tells TMZ Sports the Sixers goaltender will be fine.
Simmons has struggled to find his rhythm with jump shots since joining the league in 2016 – most recently he has been criticized for dropping from 35% of the charity strip and averaging 9.9 points per game in the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Atlanta Hawks.
Not ideal for a former No. 1 overall pick… but Iso Joe – who is known for his clutch shot – isn’t at all worried, saying he knows the 25-year-old will find his way.
“Honestly, I don’t think there is a problem with that,” Johnson tells us. “You see him playing basketball with sweaters, fadeaways, threes… so we all know it’s there.”
That’s right – Ben got down to work with Rondo region earlier this offseason … where it was recorded on three video drilling.
“He just has to take the same confidence he has in the pickup and translate it into an NBA game,” Johnson adds. “That’s all. You’re going to miss and take shots, you can’t worry about the misses. He just has to keep taking them.”
Johnson says talent is clearly not the issue… but when BS takes the field he has to remember that he’s that guy.
Joe looks like things are easy… but all eyes will be on Ben to see if he can find his rhythm once next season arrives.
