Bachelor Nation can’t get enough of Joe Park. As Tayshia Adams decided Joe was the wrong man for her, fans of The bachelorette and The single person hope Joe could be named Bachelor in 2022. However, Joe is not crazy about the idea for a very important reason.
How Joe Park was cast on ‘the Bachelorette’
So far, season 16 of The bachelorette was filled with drama. Clare Crawley left the series soon after falling in love with contestant Dale Moss, and Adams was brought in to replace her. As Joe slowly became a fan favorite, he was knocked out in the seventh episode of the season.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Joe opened up about how he was chosen The bachelorette.
“It was the height of the pandemic and the quarantine in New York… and in fact, someone from the show contacted me. They said, “Would you be interested in being on a popular TV dating show?” Joe said.
He continued, “Honestly, I had been in my apartment for a few months, roughly in my 400 square foot cell, and I was going to work. If COVID has taught us anything, it would be seize the moment and simply take advantage of the opportunities that are available to you.

Why Joe doesn’t want to be the next Bachelor
Matt James has just finished filming his season of The single person, and its season will begin in 2021. Because Joe is a fan favorite, Bachelor Nation is campaigning for him to become the first Asian Bachelor.
While Joe appreciates the sentiment, he doesn’t want to be the next single because he doesn’t want to be still single in 2022.
“The first thought when I saw it was like – I know Matt James is single now, and I was like, man, I hope I’m not single by 2022 yet. that I am in a committed relationship by then! Joe told Entertainment Weekly. “I appreciate it, don’t get me wrong. It’s flattering. But it’s like, jeeze, I’m not getting any younger.
He added, “And also, there are much better options. For good, the first night I was the third shortest guy! Body-wise, I was the lightest of all the guys out there. It’s flattering, but I hope I won’t be single until then, if I’m being honest with you.
Would he appear in “Bachelor in Paradise”?
While it looks like Joe is hoping to be unavailable to be the next bachelor in 2022, he seems slightly more open to appearing on Bachelor in Paradise in that he should think about it.
“I would say the same. Although I unfortunately did not find love on this show, I realized that love is possible from this show. I think it’s something to assess when [the opportunity] come. It’s hard to say now, ”he said.

Who Joe wants Tayshia to end up with in ‘the Bachelorette’
Although Adams ended up not choosing Joe, there is no hard feelings. In fact, there are still a few candidates that Joe is encouraging.
“I want to say, I fell in love with Brendan. They had a one-on-one and it looks like they had a great time. I think he’s definitely a top dog, ”Joe told Entertainment Weekly. “Ivan is a great guy. Really smart, good hearted… Honestly, these two guys, I shot for them.
