The final day of the regular season ended in Arlington, Virginia. With the Caps Metro division championship and playoff spot, the team should rest some key players for the Saturday night final against the New York Islanders.

Isabelle Khurshdyan's tweet of the morning, the Caps range can look like this:

Ovechkin – Kuznetsov – Wilson
Hagelin – Eller – Connolly
Vrana – Boyd – Jaskin
Burakovsky – Dowd – Stephenson

Orlov – Niskanen
Siegenthaler – Jensen
Orpik – Djoos

Probably finalist John Carlson ends the season with a career high of 70 points in 80 games. Center Nicklas Backstrom will miss his second game of the season after scoring 22 goals and 52 assists. TJ OshieThe fitness season ends well after 69 games, 25 goals and 29 assists. Goalkeeper Braden Holtby will also rest.

Alex Ovechkin should play. He leads Leon Draisaitl of Edmonton in the Rocket Richard race, with two goals from 51 to 49. (Edmonton faces Calgary tonight.)

Although the Caps called Nathan Walker of Hershey yesterday, he does not seem to be in the composition of the match. Walker has collected two points in his last four games in the NHL, including the main assist for the series' winning goal against Pittsburgh last year.

We believe these decisions are based on rest before the playoffs. We do not anticipate any disclosure of injury from the team today, but we will know for sure later.
