John Cena, Baron Corbin Hijack WWE SmackDown Contract Signing, Established New Roman Reigns Main Event for SummerSlam

WWE fans tapped into SmackDown to see the contract signing between Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his new challenger, The Prince Finn Balor, and Balor was the first. Balor was greeted warmly by the crowd, then it was Reigns’ turn to approach the ring. After his musical success, Reigns dated Paul Heyman, and the champion looked confident as he made his way to the ring. Reigns then asked Heyman to move his chair to the head of the table and Balor sat down as Adam Pearce went through the details.

Heyman then gave Reigns the mic as the crowd sang Cena, and Reigns and Balor both smiled. “We’ve seen Mr. Missionary before tonight,” Reigns said. “Actually, Finn, have you seen his opening promo?” You know what he said, don’t you? He said that by accepting your challenge, I avoid it. It means he thinks you’re a lesser man than him, that’s what he said. “

The crowd booed. “I would boo too, that’s a stupid thing to say. But I don’t think so,” Reigns said. “I think you are worthy. I think you are worthy to challenge for the Universal Championship, and I think you are worthy to catch that loss at SummerSlam. Just for the record. I don’t think you are like John. You don’t come here and run that tired old schtick. You are hungry. You want it and I like it about you. So I have. To. Say this. If you sign this contract, I am going for you overwrite and send you straight back to NXT. “

Then the crowd chanted Roman sucks, and Balor took the mic saying, “You think about yourself very well, aren’t you Roman, and maybe rightly so, but it will be my privilege to. go back to NXT once again Universal Champion. “

As Balor was about to sign, he was attacked by Baron Corbin, who threw him out of the ring. Corbin then took the contract and went to sign it, but Cena then went down and knocked out Corbin and took the contract. He then signed it and put his name in front of Reigns, and now they have a match at SummerSlam. Reigns was also absolutely pissed off.

Here’s the official description for tonight’s SmackDown.

After universal champion Roman Reigns turns down John Cena’s challenge in favor of Finn Bálor’s, The Head of the Table will formalize their SummerSlam clash against The Prince, tonight at 8/7 C on FOX.
