Update (07/06/2019): EW confirmed that John Cena was officially launched in Fast and Furious 9.

This marks "the first significant cast for the film, which will see the return of director Justin Lin, who had previously directed four episodes".

WWE actor and wrestler, John Cena, will join Fast and Furious 9, according to Vin Diesel.

In a video posted on Instagram, Diesel said, "As you know, I always think fast and I think of the responsibility to do something iconic and that deserves your loyalty. I know it sounds crazy, but every blue moon reminds me of Pablo [Paul Walker] up there sends me somebody. Another soldier in the fight for the truth. Today, someone has gone to Toretto Gym to talk about what Pablo would have brought me. "

At the end of the video, Diesel introduces Cena into the frame. He says nothing, but makes a quick movement "You can not see me" and winks at the camera.

Cena's appearance in the upcoming Fast and Furious 9 film could serve as a replacement after Dwayne's confirmation "The Rock" Johnson. MTV News that he is sitting at the next slice.
