John Singleton's health would have worsened since he suffered a stroke last week.
The incident of the director of "Boyz n the Hood" led him into a coma, according to TMZ.
The point of sale – which indicated in his initial report that the incident was "benign" – also noted that his family is in the process of setting up a conservative position. Singleton apparently had commercial projects in the works that his mother "wants to manage … and execute the settlement agreement."
The 51-year-old representative confirmed on Page Six Saturday that he was in intensive care after suffering a stroke at the hospital last Wednesday.
"On Wednesday, April 17, our beloved son / father, John Singleton, suffered a stroke at the hospital," reads a family statement. "John is currently in intensive care unit and enjoys excellent medical care."
TMZ said at that time that he had gone to Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles after feeling pain in his leg after a return flight from Costa Rica.
His representative did not immediately return our request for comment regarding this latest update.
