John Travolta thanks his fans for their support on the first Thanksgiving since the death of his wife Kelly Preston

He thanked his fans for giving him so much love during a difficult time.

And John Travolta was overwhelmed with gratitude as he took a moment to say hi to his fans on Instagram on Thanksgiving Day.

The 66-year-old recognized his loyal base on his first vacation without wife Kelly Preston after losing his two-year battle with breast cancer in July.

John showed off his shaved head and sported a black turtleneck while addressing his three million social media followers.

“I just wanted to take this moment to thank each of you for supporting me in such an incredible way this year,” he said. “Happy Thanksgiving and always loving it.

A few days before the holidays, John celebrated their son Benjamin’s 10th birthday with a cute snap uploaded.

Kelly and John also share a daughter, Ella Blue, 20, and lost their 16-year-old son Jett in January 2009 after suffering a seizure and hitting his head.

Thursday was Travolta’s first Thanksgiving without his wife since his death in July.

A family representative told People magazine: ‘On the morning of July 12, 2020, beloved wife and mother Kelly Preston passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer. ”

“ Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her family and closest friends, ” the family representative said. “ She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply for others and brought everything she touched to life. Travolta and Preston were married for 29 years before her death in July.
