You know that you have reached the top of the tree of popular culture when someone reinvents you as a NES game – and that is exactly what happened to John Wick.
With the third participation in the Keanu Reeves handguns festival in cinemas, Brazilian independent video game developer JoyMasher and his friend Dominic Ninmark created a fake John Wick NES game and posted it on YouTube.
In the video, we see an 8-bit side scroll of Wick across the screen, which hides behind a cover to avoid enemy shots, while occasionally lifting up.
At the end of the level, Wick picks up an enemy helicopter before finding his dog. Charming.
Although John Wick seems to be doing a good NES game, a John Wick video game is in development. He is John Wick Hex and was developed by Thomas Was Alone and Volume Creator Mike Bithell.
If you can not wait for that, Fortnite has an official John Wick mode.
