Raiders safety Johnathan Abram said there wasn’t much talk about what was wrong with the Chiefs’ touchdown on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium.
“We haven’t talked about it any more than any other game,” Abram said Thursday. “It’s just a correction that we made on Monday and corrected.”
While no one on the team has singled out Abram as being responsible for allowing Travis Kelce to open up so widely, reruns showed the aggressive second-year pro leaving the zone when the Kansas quarterback City, Patrick Mahomes, took a few steps forward and looked like they did. try to run.

Ferrell returns
The Raiders activated reserve / COVID-19 defensive lineman Clelin Ferrell on Thursday.
Ferrell had been absent from the team since November 17. The Raiders are hoping he’ll be ready to play in Atlanta on Sunday.
Lamarcus Joyner and Theo Riddick remain on the list, as does Trent Brown. Offensive coordinator Greg Olson said Brown was in the building on Thursday, so there’s optimism he’s close to a comeback.
Injury report
Cornerback Damon Arnette returned to practice Thursday after missing Wednesday’s session with illness, but cornerback Amik Robertson stayed on the sidelines. Neither condition is believed to be linked to COVID 19.
Safety Erik Harris (calf) had limited training on Wednesday but was out Thursday.
Running back Josh Jacobs was absent from Wednesday’s training report but was listed as limited on Thursday with a hip problem.
The Falcons did not practice Thursday.
Mariota is progressing
Olson said the Raiders conducted a seven-on-seven drill on Wednesday to get representatives from reserve quarterback Marcus Mariota and some young players.
Derek Carr takes all the shots of the first team in training during the season, leaving Mariota and Nate Peterman limited opportunities mostly with the scout squad.
Peterman was the substitute on match days, but Olson said Mariota was making progress on her return from a pre-season pectoral injury.
“He’s coming back from his injury and getting stronger,” Olson said. “He’s more balanced and he’s improving once again.
