Johnny Cage is back in Mortal Kombat 11, and he has new tricks

NetherRealm Studios have added another familiar face to the list of Mortal Kombat 11 fighters: Johnny Cage. The kombatant movie star has been a mainstay as a playable character since the beginning of the fist in the fighting games franchise and, over time, has changed his look in different ways. In Mortal Kombat 11, he is a little older and more gray, but he still embodies the classic stereotype of the self-involved Hollywood actor.

You can see Cage in action in the trailer above. Cage seems to have retained most of his iconic moves, such as the kick kick, the fireball, the punch up and the kick hidden. However, he also has some new tricks, like using a camera flash to momentarily knock out his enemy and call another Johnny Cage – presumably a doubler – to keep his opponent on the ground while he hits him. His inevitability is quite funny, but we'll let you see that for yourself.

NetherRealm Studios is about to host a Kombat Kast stream today, at 1 pm, Eastern Time / 10 am, New York time / 9 pm GMT / 8 am (February 28th). During these streams, members of the development team typically break down aspects of the game such as new characters with a lot of depth. We expect Johnny Cage to be the subject of the latest Kombat Kast, so be sure to watch the feed here on GameSpot.
