Former MLB Superstar Johnny damon was arrested for DUI in Florida early Friday morning – and cops say his blood alcohol level was over TWICE the legal limit.
The 47-year-old – who played for the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees – was arrested by the Windermere (Orlando area) Police Department around 8:15 a.m.
During the shutdown, the cops say Damon showed signs of intoxication and at one point they tested his blood alcohol level which came back to “greater than or equal to .20”.
The legal driving limit is 0.08.
Damon was arrested and convicted of several counts, including driving under the influence and resisting arrest without violence.
Damon was transported to a nearby station where he posed for a shot from the cup – and spent time in a holding cell.
Damon is a two-time World Series champion and has formed 2 All-Star teams in his 18 seasons as an MLB player.
After his playing days, Damon appeared as a contender on Donald trump“Celebrity Apprentice” in 2014 and competing on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2018.
Damon was one of the main cogs in breaking up Boston’s famed World Series Draft – regrouping with his “idiots” to win the title in 2004.
He then left Boston to play for rival New York Yankees – and cut his famous long hair in the process.
Developing story …
